Casualty star

SHOREHAM starlets Harry and Hayley Smith are appearing next month in a show at Worthing's Pavilion Theatre produced by former Casualty actor Dan Rymer.

Harry and Hayley are both members of the Stonelands drama school, Hove, and will be appearing, along with all the other students, at their summer show on Saturday, July 2, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Harry is part of the older school, who are performing excerpts from A Chorus Line and West Side Story, and Hayley, part of the junior section, will be doing songs from Oliver! and other musicals.

Their parents run the Swiss Cottage pub, in Old Shoreham Road, and both children have already appeared in the West End production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Dan, who played Dillon the nurse in popular BBC1 drama Casualty for two years, said there would be a special appearance by TV presenter Gail Porter and some of his former Casualty colleagues.

He was born at Southlands Hospital, Shoreham, and now works closely with his mother, Diana Cartuer, who runs Stonelands School.

Looking back, Dan said: "It was quite manic when I was in Casualty. Some-times, it took three to four hours to film around 20 to 30 seconds."

Tickets for the Pavilion Theatre show are 10 each and available from the box office, on 01903 206206, or from Stonelands School on 01273 770445.
