Cat shot at in village

A cat has been shot at in the village of Angmering this morning (Sunday).

The female feline was shot in the back in Greenacres Ring and her owner is warning other pet owners to be on their guard.

The cat has a shattered vertebrae and the owner says it is not known whether she will be able to use her back legs again.

The incident has been reported to the police and the owner says she will be contacting the neighbourhood policing team.

The shooting comes after several cats were reported to have been poisoned by anti-freeze around Greenacres Ring in Angmering some weeks ago.
