Certificate winners blossom with pride

Winners have been given certificates for helping Aldwick to blossom.

Individuals and organisations were presented with the official recognition for helping the parish to top its category in last year's South and South East in Bloom. This ensured it was selected for the 2009 Britain in Bloom competition.

MP Nick Gibb handed out the awards for excellence to Aldwick Preservation Society; Aldwick Conservation Society; Rose Green Infant School; Rose Green Junior School; Rose Green allotment holders; Friends of Marine Park Gardens; Fernhurst Tree Group; Mr and Mrs Morriss (Front Garden Cup); Mr Crew for urban street planting (Glyn Jones Cup), and Rose Green Art and Craft Centre for commercial presentation. Local police community support officer Nick Baker was also included.
