FLOWER SHOW: The Horticultural Society and Gardening Club are holding their annual flower and vegetable show in the Rawson Hall on Saturday August 13, at 2.30pm. Admission free, all welcome. There will be 63 classes to enter including flowers, vegetables, cookery and photographic. Classes for children include a garden on a plate, for two categories aged 4 to 7 years and 8 to 11 years; and a posy or table arrangement for any children up to their 16th birthday. Year books incorporating all the classes and entry forms are available from the Membership secretary at Agates, The Street. All entries should be sent to the Show Secretary at Fieldfare, 4 Paynesfield, The Street not later than 6pm on Wednesday August 10. Late entries will not be accepted.

BARBECUES: Batchelors Field Cafe, Rawson Hall, will be holding barbecues on Fridays August 12 and 26 from 11.30am onwards. Two course children’s lunches (£3 each) will also be served during the school holidays on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

MOBILE LIBRARY: The mobile WSCC library will be visiting Drovers, Paynesfield, The Street, between 9.30am and 10.15am on Fridays August 5 and 19. All welcome to use this library service.
