The event - at Clair Hall in Haywards Heath on January 23 - is being staged in aid of St Peter & St James Hospice of which Katie is patron.

As seen on BBC Strictly Come Dancing, broadcaster Katie had a great time learning new steps and now you can do it too by taking part in the 12-hour dance-a-thon.

It will start at 10am and run through until 10pm at Clair Hall, finishing with a ‘Swoove Ignite’ party with Esther Featherstone, from 6pm.

As well as having fun and getting fit, there will be a chance to try Zumba, Bollywood, Salsa, Swoove and other classes.

Eleanor Gloster, events and community manager at St Peter & St James Hospice, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting a charity dance-a-thon, following in the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ footsteps of our patron, Katie Derham. This is a great chance for everyone to have fun and dance their way to raising money for their local Hospice.”
