The chamber’s president and chairman, Nick Stuart-Nicolson, remains alongside the vice-chairman, Ian Harding.

Mr Stuart-Nicolson said: “In view of the current economic climate, I felt we should better serve our members with an executive committee made up of some of the ‘big guns’ of our local community.

“The chamber continues to concern itself with all relevant local matters.

“In particular, this is the proposed – although stalled – regeneration of our town, seafront strategy, the proposed new commercial developments, our roads and infrastructure and the survival of our town centre.”
