Charity boosted by donation of thousands of stamps
Staff at Clearwell Mobility have been busy collecting stamps at showrooms across the area in support of the RNIB – the Royal National Institute of Blind People.
Donations have been welcomed at the firm’s branches in Brighton, Burgess Hill, Chichester, Hove, Polegate, Seaford and Worthing.

These collected stamps will be sorted by the RNIB and sold in large batches at auction, with proceeds going directly to the charity.
After presenting the stamps, Sally said: “The response from our customers and staff has been fantastic. We have had such a mix of different stamps, it has been quite interesting to see where they have come from. It is always fantastic to help support a charity, and the work that the RNIB do is so crucial. Even something as simple as ripping off old postage stamps from your letters can help provide them with funding to carry on offering the support they do, day-in day-out.”
During 2015 and 2016, the RNIB raised more than £25,000 through old postage stamps and is aiming to beat the total this year. Anyone wishing to donate can do so at Clearwell Mobility’s showrooms.
