Charity gives youngsters chance to shine

FATHER Christmas was in attendance as the 'Hope in the Valley Riding Group' for physically disabled youngsters held its Christmas party for riders.

Hope in the Valley is a charity run by volunteers and aims to give children between the ages of three and 16 the opportunity to experience the pleasure, independence and therapeutic benefits that riding a horse brings.

The event took place at Plumpton College's Indoor Riding School and involved an afternoon of mounted games with the children riding ponies festooned with reindeer horns and tinsel followed by a lovely tea for riders and their parents.
