Charity golf event to remember baby Jack
The Jack Blunsdon Memorial Trophy, now in its tenth year, raises money in memory of Jack Blunsdon, who suffered from Myotubular Myopathy.
The event, held this year at Littlehampton Golf Club, saw 48 people compete in teams of four. Players donated £11 as part of their entrace fee, with funds going to the Myotubular Trust.

“Some people don’t play at all all year but come out there for Jack’s day. It keeps his name alive.”
Teams played in a Stableford format on the 19 hole seaside course, with additional awards for nearest the pin and longest drive.
New team Goodfellas won the overall trophy with 96 points despite very windy conditions, with Graham Lind and Des Farrow winning nearest the pin on the par 3s and Gavin Ingles hitting the longest drive.

The group have raised £70,000 for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice and the Myotubular Trust over the years.
“A massive thank you to Littlehampton Golf Club staff who made us feel very welcome on the day and were very accommodating to our needs and wishes”, Mr Blunsdon added.
