Charity Horsham barn dance a great success

Nearly a hundred Cowboys and Girls yee haa’d and swung their partners around the dance floor last weekend at the Splendid Occasions ‘Let’s Barn Dance for Comic Relief’ event. hosted at the Barn in Horsham’s Causeway, which was decked out with bunting and bales of straw, local group ‘ The Maypole Band’ got the whole room do- si- do-ing to their infectious rhythm.

Dee Child from Splendid Occasions, who put on the event to raise money for Comic Relief in its 25th year says;

I am delighted that so many people came to the Barn Dance and took part in the raffle on the night, we raised a fantastic £450! I would like to thank all of the local businesses who kindly donated some wonderful raffle prizes, also the chef, bar staff, the band and jazz singer, photographer who gave their time completely free... it’s great to see such community spirit!
