Last weekend's Bexhill Rotary organised annual Ale and Arty Festival was another great success.

The two-day event at the De La Warr, raised money for the Sara Lee Trust. Friday and Saturday nights were sellouts and a friendly and lively crowd of supporters enjoyed the specialist real ales (and ciders), the music and warm atmosphere. Bands The Chandeliers and The Do Theys were well received with people calling for encores. Saturday lunchtime saw the Battle of the Bands when four aspiring groups played against each other for the title of winner. This was a new enterprise and popular and hard fought but in the end the winners were the Eagle Pigs who generously paid tribute to the other bands and shared their prize.
