Chichester A27 junction reopened after lorry crash

THE EASTBOUND A27 exit at the Fishbourne roundabout has been reopened after an accident this afternoon (March 5).

It has been closed since 1.05pm after a crash between a car and lorry carrying a mobile home.

The car driver was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital, with police saying she had a ‘serious head injury’.

A recovery operation was ongoing this afternoon (March 5) to clear the roundabout, with drivers facing two-hour delays.

The Highways Agency reported the junction was clear around 7.30pm and Chichester Police has thanked drivers for their patience and understanding.
