Chocolate treat at WinchelseaDiamond Jubilee fund raiser

TUCKING into chocolate on Saturday will help improve the town of Winchelsea.

The Winchelsea Diamond Jubilee Committee will be holding its final fund-raising event on Saturday 17 November at the New Inn in Winchelsea between 11am and 12:30pm.

This will be a Chocolate Morning, which is described as being “like a coffee morning but more delicious”.

On sale will be hot chocolate drinks and lots of chocolate to eat: cakes, fudges, biscuits, sweets and much else. All are welcome.

Funds raised will be used to fund a Diamond Jubilee Tree and other commemorative projects.

Spare funds will go towards the Winchelsea Diamond Jubilee Project, which has supported local vocational youth training charity, Entertainment Workshops, who have been producing a film of the Diamond Jubilee Year in Winchelsea.

Winchelsea councillor Richard Comotto said: “Chocolate Morning completes a successful Diamond Jubilee Year in Winchelsea.

“The high point of the year was a memorable Street Party in June.”
