Christmas appeal for Worthing's needy people and animals

THE Herald series Christmas food appeal now includes a third charity.

Last year, the Herald's sister paper, the Worthing Advertiser, was overwhelmed at the response from readers.

The appeal is for non-perishable food, which will be distributed to needy people in the area in conjunction with the Salvation Army.

Animal food will go to Worthing and District Animal Rescue Service (WADARS) and Findon-based rescue charity PAWS.

There are people in our community who have been hard-hit during the recession and through no fault of their own need help and support to get through difficult times.

The Salvation Army has seen many more people in distress and WADARS and PAWS are caring for many more animals that people cannot afford to keep.

Take any donations to our offices in Chatsworth Road, Worthing, (Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm).
