Churches join in website info page

Details of church services around Bognor Regis are now on the Observer website.

The newspaper has joined with Churches Together in Bognor Regis and District to provide the information for the first time.

Adam May, Churches Together's press officer, said the group of 22 churches and Christian organisations believed it was important to tell as many people as possible where and when their local church services were being held.

"It is often said that you can be a Christian without attending church. While this might be true to a certain degree, there is something special when Christians meet together for prayer, worship and fellowship.

"This is true whether it be in a lively church with many people or whether you are part of a small congregation with an organ," he explained.

"Bognor has a variety of ways to express Christian worship to suit almost any taste.

"We have the very traditional service with ancient prayers and readings, to more free expressions where nothing is planned for.
