Coach trip treat for Bognor pensioners

The town's Lions Club is keen to organise the latest outings for those who seldom leave their homes.

The occasional journeys into the countryside are intended to provide them with a break from sitting within their own four walls.

All that's missing is the passengers. Lion Mike Fildes is anxious to hear from the neighbours or relatives of individuals they believe would benefit the most from the social treat.

"The people we are looking to help are those who live alone and rarely go out," he said.

"We have the idea of taking them out into the country for a tour round and then a drink in a nice pub."
