Those who make successful nominations will also receive free tickets to the awards ceremony at the Capitol which is always a heartwarming and uplifting occasion.

Last year Sylvia Welch who had served as a lollipop lady for more than 40 years in Billingshurst was moved to tears when she heard youngsters from Billingshurst Primary School explain why they think she’s the best lollipop lady in the world.

It is always an emotional occasion, with tears and laughter elicited in equal measure as award winners hear recorded testimony from those who put them forward in front of a full house audience.

To be in with a chance of enjoying this fabulous event you have to either be nominated, or make a nomination though - so don’t delay, put someone forward today!
