Council refuses‘eye-sore’ house

There were cheers from the public gallery on Wednesday as Hastings Borough Council refused planning permission for a controversial building that protestors say has blighted Fairlight Country Park.

The building, at Rocklands Holiday Park has been branded an ‘eye-sore’ and ‘carbuncle’ for the way it intrudes into the landscape.
