Council ‘Yes’ to Rye being high-speed stop

Rye Town Council gave the thumbs up to high speed trains stopping at Rye when it met this week.

But a debate was by no means in full support of the idea with one councillor expressing concerns that Rye could find itself becoming a commuter town serving the capital.
