Lucy Farrow, 31, and her new husband Olly Fryatt, also 31, based their special day around the Owl and the Pussycat by Edward Lear.

The day started with a ceremony at St Michael’s Church in Amberley.

The bride had eight bridesmaids and a flower girl and Olly chose two best men and two ushers.

Lucy’s mum Helen Farrow said: “It worked absolutely briliantly. They were just the most fantastic team.

“The weather was beautiful. We were so fortunate. It was probably one of the hottest days of the year.”

Lucy entered the church to the Benjamin Francus song Atlas Hands.

Guests sharing the couple’s celebration in July sang Lord of All Hopefulness, Jerusalem and One More Step.

While the bride and groom signed the marriage register a choir sang Stand By Me made famous by Ben E. King and Make You Feel My Love originally a hit for Adele.

Lucy and Olly chose readings from The Bible and The Owl and the Pussycat and the couple exited the church to the Queen song A Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

Continuing with the theme of the classic children’s poem, the new Mrs and Mrs Fryatt were taken to their reception by boat.

The reception was held at Lucy’s parents’ home in Rackham where guests enjoyed an Owl and the Pussycat wedding cake and then took to the sea for their kite-surfing honeymoon in Mauritius - said to be the best place for the sport.

Lucy and Olly have been together ten years and they met at work where they both teach water skiing.
