COURT RESULTS: Round-up of cases from 1066 Country
September 7:
Russell Hoyle (aged 30), of Charlton Street, Greys, Essex, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a breath specimen for analysis when required to do so by police. The offence took place at Bexhill Road, St Leonards, on August 21. He was fined £200 and banned from driving for one year.
Luke Jackson (aged 39), of Beauport Park, Hastings, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Ka on Saxon Street, St Leonards, on August 2, with cocaine in his bloodstream. He was fined £50 and banned from driving for one year.

Hide AdShafiq Johnson (aged 26), of Stoke Newington, London, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified, failing to stop for police and driving with no insurance. The offences took place at Mount Pleasant Road and Elphinstone Road, Hastings, on July 27. He was fined a total of £273 and banned from driving for a further 12 months.
Andrew Michael (aged 34), of Fairfield Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention. The offence took place at Cornfield Terrace, St Leonards, on July 23. He was fined £133.
Joanne Latter (aged 31), of De La Warr Road, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to stealing food and alcohol worth £64.51 from the Co-op in Western Road, Bexhill on August 21. She also admitted being in breach of an 18 month conditional discharge, imposed by an earlier court for theft from a shop. She was given a 12 month conditional discharge.
Sean Jones (aged 28), of Whatling Road, Benfleet, Essex, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Corsa, on Marina, St Leonards, on July 28, while over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 68 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35mg. He was fined £200 and banned from driving for 18 months.

Hide AdLuke Percival (aged 27), of Ashburnham Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving a Peugeot car at Eversfield Place, St Leonards, on July 28, while over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 48 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35mg. He was fined £120 and banned from driving for three years.
Matthew Strover (aged 36), of Eversfield Mews, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving an Audi car on Terrace Road, St Leonards, on July 31 while over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 44 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35mg. He was fined £120 and banned from driving for one year. He was also fined £40 after pleading guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis on the same date.
William Lee (aged 29) of Alexandra Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. The offence took place on June 23 at Ravenside retail park, Bexhill. He also pleaded guilty to an offence of using one seat belt for two children, while driving a Renault van on Elphinstone Road, Hastings, on August 9. He was fined £250 for the threatening behaviour offence and ordered to pay £50 compensation. He was fined £200 for the seatbelt offence and his driving record was endorsed with three penalty points.
Anthony Black (aged 28), of Hughenden Road, Hastings, was found guilty of assaulting a police officer and causing him actual bodily harm. The offence took place at Devonshire Road, Hastings, on July 30. He pleaded guilty to obstructing a police officer on the same date and to two offences of racially aggravated threatening behaviour toward police officers at the Bohemia Road police station on the same date.

Hide AdHe admitted committing a further offence during a period of a suspended sentence made by Brighton magistrates on April 25 for two offences of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and driving while disqualified. He was sentenced to a total of 44 weeks in prison. Magistrates said the reason for the custodial sentence was that he intentionally bit a police officer and gave personal abuse over a sustained period.
September 13:
Salvis Auzins (aged 36), of Wishing Tree Road, St Leonards, was found guilty of going equipped for theft in that he had in his possession three lock-pick keys. The court made a community order with a requirement of a three month electronically monitored curfew between 7pm and 7am.
Francis Hudson (aged 74), of Grangecourt Drive, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to assault. The offence took place at Bexhill on April 17. He was given a six month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £250 in compensation.
September 14:
Danny Barton (aged 34), of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. The offence took place at Wellington Place, Hastings, on August 22. He was given a six month conditional discharge.

Hide AdGary Cooper (aged 38), of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. The offence took place at Warrior Square railway station on August 22. He also pleaded guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis on the same date. He was fined £390.
Matthew Huggins (aged 40), of Churchill Avenue, St Leonards, was sent to prison for a total of 18 weeks after pleading guilty to stealing make-up worth £30.97, from Superdrug in Hastings, on August 24, and items worth £233 from Marks and Spencers, Hastings, on the same day. He was in breach of a 26 week suspended prison sentence, imposed by magistrates on August 2 for having a lock-knife in a public place. The original offence took place in Linton Road, on May 17.
