Courtney wins VIP day at zoo

A TEN-YEAR-OLD girl from Bexhill received the red carpet treatment at a VIP day out at Drusillas Park with her family after winning a competition on local radio station, Heart FM. Courtney Emmeney was amongst six lucky winners who enjoyed a special day at the award winning zoo, near Alfriston, on April 19, after guessing the animal name which had been bleeped out of a well-known song.

During the VIP day, the families were greeted by Heart Breakfast presenters Tom, Lynsey and Jack and enjoyed lunch in the Explorers Café Restaurant. Each of the winners also experienced one of Drusillas Park’s new Animal Encounter sessions, getting up close and personal to some of the zoo’s furry and feathered favourites. Courtney also had a taste of what it’s like to work with animals, assisting zookeeper Julie Wallace. Courtney received a behind the scenes tour before providing the penguins with their afternoon fill of fish (pictured).
