Crews called to 'deep seated fire' at scrapyard in Newhaven
Three crews were called out to a fire at a scrapyard in Newhaven this morning.
The fire service was called to Ripleys Scrapyard in East Quay, Newhaven following reports of a fire at 10.59am, a spokesman confirmed.
Crews from Newhaven, Preston Circus and Seaford attended.
The spokesman said: "Upon arrival, crews found a deep seated fire in the scrapyard.
"Firefighters used the Aerial Ladder Platform to help extinguish the fire."
