Appeal after break-in at Burgess Hill building site

Police responded to a break-in at a building site in Burgess Hill on Saturday (March 13).

Batteries and diesel stolen out of some of the machines, Mid Sussex Prevention Inspector Darren Taylor said on Twitter.

There was also damage to the fence to gain entry.

The break-in happened between 4.40pm on Friday (March 12), and 6.30am on Saturday (March 13), he added.

Officers are appealing for witnesses.
