Arrest made after man climbs onto atrium of Brighton police station

A man who refused to leave a Brighton police station lobby and climbed onto the atrium inside the front door has been arrested.

Police said the man had refused to leave the lobby area of John Street Police Station.

He then climbed onto the atrium inside the front door.

He was later arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, according to the police tweet.

No one was harmed in the incident, police said.

The front office currently remains closed.
