Bognor Regis man charged over indecent images

A Bognor Regis man has been jointly charged over sex offences relating to indecent images of children and sexual assaults on boys.

Miller had been arrested on July 24, 2011, by the Paedophile Online Investigation Team (POLIT) of Sussex Police on suspicion of distributing indecent images of children over the internet. He is now jointly charged along with David Alan Wood, 46, formerly of Worthing and Eastbourne, with conspiracy to cause/incite a boy under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

He also faces charges of the distribution and making of indecent images of children, possession of prohibited images, possession of extreme pornography, and seven charges relating to sexual assaults on two boys under the age of 13. Those assault offences allegedly took place in 1993 and more recently between 2008 and 2010, in Bognor in all cases.

Wood had been arrested by POLIT detectives in August 2010. Information leading to the warrant had been received from the Child Exploitation On Line Protection Centre (CEOP).

Both men appeared at Brighton Magistrates Court on Friday, November 9. Wood was remanded in custody and Miller was released on conditional bail.

A plea and case management hearing is due to take place at Lewes Crown Court on January 25.
