Police are appealing for information after a 15-year-old boy was assaulted by two young people in Worthing.

Police were called to The Strand shortly before 5.30pm on Monday (March 15) after receiving a third-party report of a 15-year-old being assaulted by two other young people.

Police said officers attended the scene and identified the victim, who suffered a minor hand injury.

An extensive search of the area was carried out, according to police, but with no trace of the suspects.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who saw what happened, or who may have any other information, is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 1101 of 15/03.
