The police cordon at Gatwick Airport’s North Terminal has opened after officers dealt with an incident involving a suspicious vehicle.

One man has been detained as a result of the incident, which is not being treated as terror related, police say.

Members of the public have been thanked for their patience.

No update has been provided as to the restoration of shuttle service to and from the terminal.
