Car crimewave in Wick and Littlehampton

MOTORISTS are being warned by police to be vigilant following a spate of car crimes in the Wick and Littlehampton areas.

Between Monday night and Tuesday morning (September 24-25), three cars were broken into and attempts were made to hotwire them. All were Ford Fiestas and were parked in Courtwick Road, Colebrook Road and Cherrycroft, Wick.

During the same period, a Ford Escort, parked in Clun Road, Wick, suffered damage to a door, but no entry was gained, and another Ford Fiesta and a Ford Focus, parked in Gloucester Road, Littlehampton, had damage to their wing mirrors.

A police spokesman sad: “This is a mindless act of vandalism and Arun Police urge anyone who has any information in relation to these incidents to call police on 101, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
