Crawley College to close tomorrow

Crawley College will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday April 27, after a major shooting incident this afternoon.

A spokeswoman for the college announced the closure just hours after armed police swooped in to detain a teenager after shots were fired at the college.

Two people were hurt though not seriously, police said. Follow our live blog here

The college statement in full said: “Further to the incident on Monday 26 April, the College will be closed on Tuesday 27 April whilst we continue to support Police with enquires.

“Further information will follow when available.”
