“We are also working closely with local councils to ensure park areas across the coast are clear, and reinforcing the government advice to stay at home, including park areas of Newhaven, Seaford and Peacehaven.

“Anti-social behaviour can be distressing for members of the public and residents in the area, and it will not be tolerated by the force.”

The force confirmed additional patrols will still continue to be in place each Friday and Saturday between 4pm and 10pm during the coronavirus pandemic.

People can call officers directly on 07989188960 to report any ASB or youth related crime and disorder, it said.

Outside of these times, people should continue to report non-emergencies to 101 or on the Sussex Police website.

Always dial 999 in an emergency.
