Fly-tippers dump furniture and block Mid Sussex road

Fly-tippers blocked a road in Twineham with old furniture and garden water last night, Mid Sussex Police have said.

Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Darren Taylor said the incident happened in Bob Lane at 11pm.

“A resident heard the items being dumped and a vehicle drive away,” he said.

“Lots of old furniture and garden water dumped in the middle of the road, completely blocking it,” he added.

This is the latest in a string of fly-tipping incidents in Mid Sussex after rubbish, garden waste and a bed were dumped last month.
