Hastings and Rother police officers stop vehicle in Bexhill and seize drugs

Police said Rother and Hastings neighbourhood officers stopped the vehicle in Bexhill on Friday evening (April 3).

Hide AdThe driver was also arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs, police added.
Hastings Police said: “Following complaints from members of the public, on Friday evening Rother and Hastings neighbourhood officers stopped a vehicle in Bexhill and arrested the two occupants for drug supply and driving whilst under the influence of drugs.”
Police said 126g of class B drugs, a number of mobile phones and around £400 in cash was seized after being found inside the vehicle.
“Both males were taken into custody,” police added.

Hide Ad“A blood sample was taken from the driver which will be sent off for analysis.
“Despite our commitment to support communities with social distancing restriction concerns, we continue in our pursuit of those that commit crime.
“We were able to act on the information provided by vigilant members of the public which led to the vehicle in questions resulting in a positive outcome.
“If members of the public see anything suspicious, please report it.”
