Hastings Police take action to fully close Hastings town centre property

Police say they have obtained a full closure on a property at Cambridge Gardens associated with crime and disorderly behaviour.

In February Hastings Police obtained a partial closure order for a property, in Cambridge Gardens. This followed ‘ongoing reports of disorder, offensive or criminal behaviour in the area’, the police force reported.

They have now issued an update to say: “In the weeks after the initial order was granted, officers from Hastings Neighbourhood Policing Team made several arrests for breaches of that order. Due to continued criminal behaviour and ongoing issues linked to the address, the team has now secured a full closure order. “This full closure order will remain in place for 47 days, until 12 May, and prohibits anyone from entering or remaining on the premises during this period. “The decision to implement this measure was made to prevent behaviour that causes nuisance, disorder, or ongoing harm within the community. “Hastings Neighbourhood Policing Team remains committed to safeguarding vulnerable individuals and ensuring that those affected receive the appropriate support. We will continue to work closely with partners and local residents to keep our communities safe. “If you have any concerns or wish to report ASB please call 101 or report online. In an emergency or crime in progress, please call 999.”
