Large amount of cash and drugs seized in Haywards Heath raid

Mid Sussex police carried out a drugs raid on Saturday (March 13), and seized a large amount of cash and drugs.

Prevention Inspector Darren Taylor said officers executed the warrant at a property in Franklands Village, Haywards Heath.

He said on Twitter: “Someone asked me why the team were in Franklands Village, Haywards Heath yesterday morning at around 9.30am. They were executing another, yes another misuse of drugs warrant. I make that 17 warrants now! Real positive and proactive warrant conducted, with a large amount of cash and drugs seized.”

Last month, Insp Taylor vowed to hunt down drug dealers in a bid to stamp out drug-related crime in the district.

He also pledged to clamp down on county lines drug dealing – where criminals bring in banned substances from outside an area to sell.
