Littlehampton girl hospitalised following dog attack

A GIRL in Littlehampton was rushed to hospital after being mauled by a dog, police have said today (Wenesday, October 3).

The 15-year-old was attacked on Monday (October 1). It is unknown whether the animal was with its owner at the time or roaming alone.

Police have said that a woman came to the teen’s aid, at around 4pm, when she was discovered near the junction of Belloc Road and Manning Road.

PC Jackie Shears said: “The girl was quite distressed by the incident and went to the hospital for the injury to be treated. A women helped her but didn’t leave her details and we would like her to get in touch as she may be have witnessed what happened.

“If anyone has further information, please can you call police on 101 quoting serial 1250 of 01/10.”

This follows a similar incident at the Littlehampton Cemetery, last week.
