Littlehampton office burglary: two charged

TWo men have been charged with burglary following a break-in at the former Arun District Council housing offices in Church Street, Littlehampton, in June.

Craig Stevens, 27, of Downs Way, East Preston is due to appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (August 8). Aaron Adams, 35, of Bedford, appeared at Worthing Magistrates’ Court last Wednesday (July 25) and was remanded in custody until the end of September.

The empty office building was broken into over the Jubilee weekend at the beginning of June, when significant damage estimated at more than £100,000 was caused and copper piping and wiring were stolen.

Littlehampton Town Council is in the process of buying the building, which is next to its Manor House offices, from Arun.
