Adam Adams, 26, of Aldwick Road, Bognor, was given a 30-month prison sentence at Portsmouth Crown Court on Monday 22 November, having previously admitted five counts of possession of cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply, possession of an offensive weapon, a knuckleduster, and money laundering. He was stopped by police for driving with no insurance.

A long term police operation in which West Sussex officers disrupted a 'County Lines' drugs gang bringing drugs into the area from London, has resulted in sentences for eight people, all convicted of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. In May 2018 officers carrying out Operation Highwood executed a series of search warrants at addresses in Bognor Regis and London, seizing large quantities of crack cocaine, heroin, cash and mobile phones used to deal drugs, on what was known as the 'Ghost Line'. After a series of separate trials, sentencing was completed at Portsmouth Crown Court on Monday 22 November. Daniel Olugbosun (left), 30, was given a total sentence of five years and six months, his brother Michael Olugbosun (centre), 29, was given a Section 37 Hospital Order of detention under the Mental Health Act 1983 - both were from Blackfriars Rd, London SE1 - and Amir Abrahams-Hodge (right) 26, of Bradgate Rd, London SE6, was given a five years and four months sentence

Tabar Hosseini, 38, of Folkestone Road in Dover, was charged and stood trial at Lewes Crown Court for murdering a St Leonards father in his own home. Darren Alderton, 51, was found dead inside his flat in Magdalen Road on Thursday 8 April, 2021 after police received calls concerned for his welfare. On Thursday November 25 after an 11-day trial, he was found guilty of the murder of Darren Alderton by a unanimous jury. At the same court on Friday November 26, he was sentenced to a minimum tariff of 30 years.

John Gibbs, 50, of Shanklin Close, Eastbourne, was sentenced at Lewes Crown Court on Thursday 11 November. He sexually abused a young girl for five years has now been given a 14-year prison sentence after an investigation by safeguarding detectives from Sussex Police. He was found guilty of two counts the rape and three counts of sexual assault on the child who was under 13 at the time. He will be a registered sex offender for life and was also given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) to last until further court decision, prohibiting him from any contact with his victim or her family, and from living in any household where there are children under 16.
