Three members of a motorcycle gang have been jailed for a combined 19 years following a serious assault in Findon.Callum Shaw (Left), Barry Brown (Right) and Daniel Kent, who are all members of the Hell’s Angels Motorcycle Club, have been sentenced following an incident in 2022.Shaw, 27, of no fixed address admitted Section 18 grievous bodily harm (GBH), burglary, violent disorder and possession of a knife and was sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment.He was also given a five-year extension on license due to the dangerousness of the crime when he appeared before Lewes Crown Court on Monday, 26 February.Brown, 41, of Top Road, Calow, Derbyshire appeared before Lewes Crown Court on Friday, 1 March and was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment for violent disorder and actual bodily harm.Kent, 28, of Farrington Avenue, Bushey, Hertfordshire was also jailed for three years on 1 March for violent disorder, actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.He was sentenced to a further year for a burglary at the Vikings Club House in Portsmouth. Four people who paid to have a man murdered in West Chiltington have been jailed for a total of 45 years.Emergency services were called to a property in Harbolets Road, West Chiltington, on Saturday, 21 December, 2019, to a report of a 48-year-old man having been stabbed in the chest and critically injured.The subsequent investigation found Emma Giles had conspired with her father, Mark Giles Snr, brother – Mark Giles Jnr – and then-boyfriend Sam Millis, to lure the victim to a vulnerable location where a man they had paid could murder him.The assailant, who was identified by police and forensically linked to the attack, is now deceased.The conspirators had paid him £3,000 to carry out the murder.All four defendants were arrested and subsequently charged with conspiracy to murder.After entering not guilty pleas, they were found guilty by a jury after a four-week trial, concluding on 5 October, 2023, at Lewes Crown Court.At the same court on Friday, 23 February, Mark Giles Snr, 59, of Linfold Road in Billingshurst, was jailed for ten years.Mark Giles Jnr, 37, of Adversane Lane in Billingshurst, was jailed for 14 years.Sam Millis, 46, of Kingston Ridge in Lewes, was jailed for 14 years.Emma Giles, 24, of Linfold Road, was jailed for seven years. A man who threatened hospital staff with a knife during an incident in Accident and Emergency in Brighton has been sentenced.At Lewes Crown Court on February 20, Joshua Byrne admitted attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, threatening a person while in possession of a bladed article in a public place, and affray.Byrne, 32, unemployed of Ingram Crescent East, Hove, was sentenced to five years in prison, which includes an extended licence period for a further three years.
