October 13:

Tara Morgan, 50, of Woodacres Way, Hailsham, indicated guilty pleas to two charges of assaulting a police officer. 
The offences took place at Hailsham on July 12. She was fined £100 and ordered to pay £100 in compensation.

Christopher Matthews, 42, of Church Road, Polegate, pleaded guilty to pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to harassment of a woman by sending numerous messages, emails and vice mails. The offence took place at Eastbourne on July 12. The court made a community order and fined him £350. Magistrates issued a restraining order.

Mary Valeriano, 67, of Colwood Crescent, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to stealing toys and games worth £249 from Sainsburys suprmarket at Eastbourne on June 20. She was fined £80.

Priana Cheema, 25, of Faygate Road, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to assaulting a police officer.
 The offence took place at Eastbourne on May 3. She also admitted being in breach of a suspended sentence made by an earlier court for offences of assault and threatening behaviour. She was sentenced to a total of 16 weeks in prison. Magistrates said the reason for the custodial sentence was because it was her 14th offence of assault on an emergency worker in a two- year period.

Shelley Cooper, 50, of Gordon Road, Buxted, Uckfield, pleaded guilty to driving a Volkswagen Polo on the A22 bypass at Polegate, on August 22, while more than three times over the drink drive limit. She gave a breath alcohol reading of 119 micrograms. The legal limit is 35 micrograms. 
The court made a community order with a requirement of 100 hours of unpaid work and banned her from driving for 28 months.

Lochlan McDonald, 20, of Elder Street, Wimbisgh, Saffron Walden, Essex, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of blood for analysis when required to do so by police under the Road Traffic Act 1988. The offence took place at Eastbourne on August 23, 
He was fined £300 and banned from driving for 15 months.

Darren Pattenden, 54, of Hackhurst Lane, Lower Dicker, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to driving a Scania vehicle on the A22 at Lower Dicker, on June 8, while disqualified from driving. He also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance on the same date. 
He was sentenced to 13 weeks in prison. Magistrates said the reason for the custodial sentence was that it was his fourth conviction of driving while disqualified and that he had shown a ‘flagrant disregard for court orders’.

October 20:

Gary Miller, 58, of Dorset Avenue, East Grinstead, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating her. The offence took place at Eastbourne on June 17. He was sentenced to eight weeks in prison suspended for one year. The court made a community order.

October 21:

Claire Renalds, 35, of Hedge Parsley Crescent, Stone Cross, Pevensey, pleaded guilty to destroying glass doors belonging to Eastbourne District General Hospital on June 28. She also indicated guilty pleas to two charges of assaulting a police officer at Eastbourne on the same date. She admitted being in breach of a suspended sentence, mad by an earlier court, for offences of assaulting an emergency worker and
fraud. She was sentenced to a total of 24 weeks in prison. Magistrates said the reason for the custodial sentence
was that it was the same offence a suspended sentence had been given for and because of damage to an intensive care unit and the distress that it caused to those present.
