These are the magistrates’ court results for the Eastbourne area – sitting at Hastings Magistrates Court June 30 - July 7

June 30:

James Millgate, 36, of Britten Close, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a Mitsubishi vehicle on Willingdon Drove, Eastbourne, on November 27, last year with cocaine in his bloodstream. He also pleaded guilty to driving with cannabis and the controlled drug benzoylecgonine in his bloodstream on the same date. He was fined £120 and banned from driving for 20 months.

Lee Hall, 50, of Lewes Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a woman by phoning numerous times, sending unwanted messages and turning up at her place of work. The offence took place at Eastbourne between February 7 and 9. Sentencing was adjourned until August 18, for reports to be prepared. He was released on unconditional bail.

Ramazan Xhediku, 26, of Ashford Road, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of extreme pornographic images involving animals. The offence took place at Eastbourne on April 21, last year. He indicated guilty pleas to making a Category B indecent image of a child at Eastbourne on April 20, last year, and to being in possession of a Category A photograph of a child, with a view to it being distributed. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on August 3 and released on unconditional bail.

Jack Saunders, 31, of Seaside Road, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to assaulting an ambulance man at Eastbourne on March 7. He indicated a plea of guilty to causing damage to an ambulance at Eastbourne on the same date. He indicated a plea of guilty to a racially aggravated assault on a doctor at Hastings on March 7 and to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis, at Hastings on the same date. He was sentenced to 14 weeks in prison, suspended for one year. The court made a community order and ordered him to pay £100 in compensation.

James Bird, 38, of Gournay Road, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis when required to do so by police under the Road Traffic Act 1988, when suspected of having been in charge of a vehicle. The offence took place at Eastbourne on May 22. He was fined £300 and his driving record endorsed with ten penalty points.

July 7:

Jamie Weir, 30, of Queens Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to causing £1,737 damage to a Range Rover. The offence took place at Hastings on August 15, last year. He was given a one year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £1,737 in compensation.

Michael Jones, 50, of Cornwallis Terrace, Hastings, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. The offence took place at the Co-op store in Framfield Road, Eastbourne, on May 20. He was fined £80.
