Man reports he was raped in a Crawley park

An investigation has been launched after a man reported he was raped in a Crawley park, police have said.

Officers said a member of the public found a man in his 20s lying in Goffs Park in a distressed state at about 12.20pm on Friday (August 19).

The man told police he had been walking through the park between 9.35am and 11.40am when he was pushed against a wall, forced to the floor and raped by two men.

Detective Sergeant Lex Witek said: “The victim wasn’t physically hurt but was in a distressed state. He has been supported by specially trained officers.

“If you witnessed this or have any information please contact us.”
