Man suffers serious head injuries in Henfield

Police are appealing for information to help them discover how a man has ended up in hospital suffering from serious head injuries.

It is unclear how the man suffered the injuries and detectives are appealing for information.

Detective Sergeant Simon Dunn of West Sussex CID said: “The injuries that the man has suffered are consistent with an assault, however due to his current condition we are unable to speak to him to establish the full details”.

“We believe that there was a disturbance that took place in the vicinity of the White Hart Pub in Henfield on the evening of Saturday 24 March and that the man may have received his injuries during this incident. We would like to hear from anyone who was at or near the pub and saw a disturbance taking place or anyone who may have any information as to how this man sustained these injuries”.

“Officers will be speaking with residents in the area over the Easter weekend and I would encourage anyone with information or concerns about the incident to speak to them”.

“The man still remains in hospital and is condition is described as stable”.
