More than 15 arrests made in Eastbourne this weekend

According to police more than 15 people were arrested in the town for offences including assault, recall to prison, harassment, drug driving, and burglary.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said, “Our drink/drug drive checks continue across the district as part of our additional patrols over the football season, these checks are in addition to those conducted 365 days of the year.

“As well as your information and reports playing a huge part in how we plan our local policing; all reports will also help us to bring the offender to justice and make sure it doesn’t happen to anyone else.”

The spokesperson reminded the public to call 999 if a crime is happening in the moment, if someone is in immediate danger, if there is a risk of serious damage to property or if there is a traffic collision involving injury or danger to other road users.
