Police arrest man for '˜threatening' shop staff

Police have arrested a man for '˜threatening' members of staff in a gambling shop in Worthing this afternoon (November 5), Sussex Police have confirmed.

Sussex Police said they were called to a Ladbrokes store, in High Street, Worthing, at 2.22pm.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “Police were called to reports of a man trying to climb over the counter of the betting shop and threatening members of staff.

“When police arrived, the man was still there and was restrained.

“The man was later arrested.”
