A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “Already this week, officers have conducted a number of patrols across Eastbourne, including along the Pier and Bandstand areas, not only to deter criminality and anti-social behaviour, but also to identify those involved in incidents reported to police.
“Officers continue to engage with local residents, visitors and businesses, gathering information and focusing patrols on locations highlighted by the community, with our proactive patrols aimed at helping prevent crime, identifying offenders, reassuring the public, and keeping our communities safe.
“Patrols continue into the weekend, and as always we encourage communities to report incidents of anti-social behaviour or criminal activity to police at the time; all reports help officers target patrols where they are needed most and supports ongoing efforts to tackle issues affecting the community.”
