Police detain man seen 'walking around with blood on him' in Chichester

Police were called to a man in a 'distressed state' in Chichester last night (Saturday, August 8).

According to Sussex Police, a man was detained under Section 136 of the Mental Health Act.

A spokesperson said: "The man was reported to walking around with blood on him in South Street at 9.36pm.

"He had made his way to Chichester Railway Station where he was detained and handed into the care of health professionals."
