Police investigate Eastbourne burglaries

Eastbourne Police are investigating burglaries which took place over the past seven days (January 28-February 3).

A business address on Grove Road reported an attempted burglary in the early hours of Thursday, January 28.

Unknown suspects gained entry to a rear yard at the property and attempted to force open doors, but failed to get inside.

A property off Pembury Road was entered in the late evening on the same day.

Homeowners returned to find personal items including cash taken from their property. It is believed unknown suspects gained entry via a window.

A garage off Hartfield Lane was broken into over January 30-31.

Unknown suspects used force to gain entry to the garage where a pedal cycle was targeted.

A business address on Station Road reported a burglary in the early hours of Monday (February 1).

Unknown suspects caused significant damage to a front door to gain entry and once inside caused further damage. It is not yet known what was stolen, said police.

A shed at a property on Park Lane was broken into in the early hours of Tuesday (February 2).

Once in the garden unknown suspects forced hinges off the shed to gain entry where two cycles were stolen.

A shed at a property on Royal Sussex Crescent was also broken into on Tuesday-Wednesday (February 2-3). Entry was gained but police said it didn’t appear anything was stolen.
