Police investigate reports of man flashing at Hove pupils

A police investigation is underway after a man exposed himself to pupils in Hove.

Officers said they received a report of a man exposing himself to a teenage girl in St Leonards Gardens, Hove, around 7.40am on Friday (January 24).

Police said then received a second report of a man exposing himself to an 11-year-old girl between Brittany Road and Roman Road around 7.30am on Monday (January 28).

Rachel Swinney Chief Inspector for Brighton and Hove said: “It is a priority for us to trace this individual and to make an arrest.

“The man is described as white, in his 30s and with a short brown beard. He was wearing a light grey hooded top and light grey tracksuit bottom trousers.

“Prevention Youth Officers will be working closely with schools and teams will be working on investigating any line of enquiry to progress the investigation.

“We would like to hear from anyone who may have CCTV that could help us identify this individual.

“You can report information to us either online or via 101 quoting reference 1158 of 29/01 or you can report your information anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers.”
