Police said officers received reports of a man running towards two teenagers, potentially with a object in his hand, along Bakers Close around 4.40pm on Tuesday (February 8).

The man headed into a nearby park, said police, adding that they are keen to speak to a woman who was seen in the park around the time of the incident.

PC Fatona said: “Anyone with information which could help officers with their investigation is asked to report it to police online or call 101 quoting serial number 862 of 08/02.

Sussex Police sadi that a 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and being in charge of a motor vehicle when above the alcohol limit.

He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue, they said.
